CloseThe Oslo slicer is a beautiful study in contrasts, featuring a warm, natural handle and a cool, industrial blade.
European Oak Handle: The handle is crafted from high-quality oak, providing an ergonomic, comfortable grip that feels substantial in the hand.
Minimalist Profile: Its sleek, timeless look makes it equally at home in a professional kitchen or as part of a high-end charcuterie spread on a dining table.
This tool is specifically designed for slicing semi-hard to hard cheeses (such as Gouda, Cheddar, Edam, or Manchego).
The Blade: Made from a single piece of high-grade stainless steel, the blade is flexible yet strong. It is designed to glide through cheese with minimal resistance, producing uniform, thin slices every time.
Non-Stick Treatment: The steel is specially finished to prevent the cheese from sticking or rolling up as you slice, ensuring a clean "release" for every piece.
Flavor Aeration: By slicing cheese thinly, you expose more surface area to oxygen, which enhances the flavor profile and makes the texture feel creamier on the palate.
Boska has been specializing in cheese tools for over 125 years, and the Oslo line is built to last.
Built for Life: The stainless steel goes deep into the oak handle to ensure it won't wobble or break under pressure.
Warranty: Like most of the Oslo range, this slicer typically comes with a 10-year guarantee, reflecting Boska's commitment to professional-grade quality.
Because of the natural wood components, this slicer requires slightly more care than an all-metal tool:
Hand Wash Only: The dishwasher is the enemy of oak. To prevent the wood from cracking or whitening, wash it by hand with warm, soapy water.
Dry Immediately: Do not let the wooden handle soak in the sink.
Wood Care: Periodically rub the handle with food-safe mineral oil or Boska Board Oil to keep the wood hydrated and maintain its rich, golden hue.
